- This scheme takes the phrases
and vocabulary required at GCSE and
presents it in a new, imaginative and effective way.
Students work
progressively through the booklets, which take them
step by step
through the language, giving them clear and concise
explanations.
- Its approach is radically
different from other schemes: It is verb based
and not theme based. Grammar is covered systematically.
The students are
taught how to adapt their French to many different
situations including those required at GCSE.
- It emphasizes the possibilities
in the language rather than its limitations,
showing the students how to say as much as possible
with their limited knowledge of the language.
- Phrases are repeated throughout
the booklets to reinforce understanding
and learning, making 'vocabulary list learning' a
thing of the past. Phrases
learned early on in the scheme are repeated throughout
the booklets.
- Booklet 17 contains a summary of
the French language required for
GCSE on one A4 page!
- The format of the booklets enables
the students to catch up
on missed lessons.
- The scheme can be used at
different levels: less interested pupils
concentrating on parts of the course e.g. Booklets
1 - 9 cover the past,
present and immediate future tenses.
(The scheme can be bought in 2 parts - Booklets 1
- 9 and Booklets 10 - 18.)
- The scheme is also ideal for AS
level students who want a quick revision of essential
grammar
- This scheme provides a firm
framework to which new vocabulary can be
attached and used. Students make noticable progress
in each lesson.
